I was sitting in front of the University gate lost in some wild reverie.

More Soda Please
Another old picture from last year. It was taken inside a Chinese restaurant called Wok with Chung in Bangalore. I was contemplating over this glass of soda while waiting for my order to arrive. If you look closely (top left corner of the picture) you can actually see the head of the dragon from the roof.

Lean On Me (A Mother's Love)
This morning I was listening to ‘Lean On Me’ by Bill Withers. I was walking around the city discovering new places and I got lost. I was so absorbed in the song that when I came to my senses I realized I was standing in a street that I have never been before, somewhere away from all the familiar shops. Just in front of me was a local park with some benches here and there. It was nothing extraordinary except that the morning sunlight looked really beautiful. I decided to go there and sit down on one of the benches for a while. A few kids were playing cricket with no shoes, everything else was silent.A while later one of the kids tripped and broke his nose. I was about to go and help him out when out of sudden this woman (I believe it was his mother) came rushing in with an expression of such rage and worry in her face. Moments later she was hugging her child as if she had lost and found him again. This incident opened new doors in my head. To see first hand an incident like that made me think of the love a mother has for her child from a whole new perspective. Everyone knows that a mother loves her child, but how many children love their mothers back? On my way back I took out my phone and called my mother…
