I'm home right now on vacation. Last week I was cleaning up my room and I found a lot of old stuff boxed up: letters, greeting cards from the 90s, old gifts, some two dozen key chains and clay sculptures. Also among them was this camera. This was the first camera my parents bought me. I was about eight years old and was pretty excited when I first held it in my hands. Evidently, it is in a mint condition and I would like to thank mother for preserving it so well. I love the manual controls, especially loading, winding and unwinding film on it.

Don't you just love finding stuff you've hidden in boxes?
Yup. Nostalgia Overload! )
I spent hours sitting on the floor reading every card, looking at every item that was there inside. A tsunami of memories hit me hard and fast; some good, some bad. But I drank them all. It was good. )
I do that too! Thirty minutes ago I accidentally dropped all my letters (letters I have received since 2008), and I almost cried because they were in the exact order as I had received them, and now it's a fucking mess.
That's a damn shame. I do hope you sort them out again soon. Good Luck.
P.S. I'm really happy to know that some people are actually still writing letters and keeping alive the 'art'. Thank you for being one of them.
Thank you for caring.
